When I reflect on my ADL journey, I can't help but be proud of how far I’ve come. Although the journey was difficult at times, it was definitely well worth it. My innovation plan for the future is very bright but needs some work. College students being more financially literate will benefit their future finances, is a very broad statement and needs to have some leverage in order to stand alone.

What has worked for me?
A few things that have worked for me thus far. For one, everyone in my organization agrees that financial literacy is an important trait to administer to our youth. And because of this there is a lot of research to support my innovation plan. I was even able to provide several examples that other universities used in their financial aid program. Another thing that has worked is showcasing financial literacy through our money management program. The money management program started about 2 years ago, and has taken off. Students are able to connect with experts in the banking industry to discuss their financial situation.
Where are you looking to anticipate change?
One way I plan to anticipate change is by closely monitoring what’s happening in my organization. My workplace environment is constantly changing with new faces that are bringing new ideas and experiences to the table. And then I plan to compare those ideas to other financial aid institutions. I will study these trends therefore I will have a better understanding of what inferences can be made from observation. Needless to say, I have my work cut out for me. Just put one foot in front of the other and continue to make meaningful changes that will change the world.
