One of the most powerful ways in which communicators can contribute unique, strategic value is by connecting the dots in our organizations. Connecting the dots is about cultivating the habit of seeing the inter-connections between issues, information and trends which may otherwise seem unrelated on the surface. This mindset is about having the savvy to see that what might appear to be public relations issue really has its roots as an internal change.
If I could describe my learning journey in one word, it would be life lessons. As I continue to advance in the ADL program, life lessons have come at me in all different directions. Life is a learning process. I have learned important life lessons by reading, watching educative videos but most importantly through experience. This program has thought me that you can learn a lot from other people’s experiences. As I continue to participate in class discussions, read the assigned readings, and participate in the collaborative learning groups I have determined the key to this program is to evaluate your learning while comparing it to others learning experience.
