Change is important because the world is constantly changing. The educational system has changed so much throughout the years, but I can honestly say I believe that it is for the best. The way technology has come through and swept us off our feet is unbelievable. As an educator, you feel that you are obligated to keep up with the change. However, it can be extremely difficult at times. I can remember working as a substitute teacher and trying to figure out the best way to implement the teacher’s lesson while in their absence. Some teachers made the process direct and exactly how they wanted, while other’s left it to the sub creativity and imagination how they wanted to implement their ideas in a classroom setting. The disruptive innovation deals with transformation of technology such as e-commerce, online news sites, ride- sharing apps and GPS systems. Disruptive Innovation in the educational system can best be described as a student’s individual learning needs that helps them succeed. For example, during the pandemic Zoom is used as a disruptive innovation. This system allowed for normal classroom settings to take place but online digitally.
