Media That Engages

One of the ways media can engage your audience thinking is through social media. Social media is one of today’s key drivers of audience engagement and a strong method for exerting more control over how the public perceives the brand. Strong social media engagement is a sign that you’re making an impact in the market. It’s not just about looking popular: it’s about making meaningful connections with current and future customers, which will serve to boost the brand both on and offline. Another way you can use stories to influence your audience decisions by making them think that your idea is their own idea through emotion relations. Insula is the part of the brain that helps us emotionally relate to experiences such as inspiration, joy, disgust, and fear.
Media has influenced me in so many ways. For example, last year Spotify launched a campaign where its users could see the most important musical highlights on their website. The special webpage Spotify Wrapped showed you your most listened artists, genres, songs, and other fun data discoveries. I could even see how music I’ve listened to coincided with my life events that year. Once I went through all the data analysis, Spotify suggested you share these highlights on social media, specifically Twitter and Instagram, and tag your favorite artist of the year.
As far as the media project, I collaborated with Melissa, and we decided to do something similar but in the form of an interview. We decided to ask each other questions, to broadcast the most important highlights of the publication article. This way we were able to connect with the audience and build engagement using technology.
