Perusing and Sharing Publications

For my publication, I have decided to discuss the fundamentals of financial aid. There are so many college students that are paying for college with financial aid assistance but do not understand how it works. As well as, how they can get the maximum amount allotted based on their financial situation. I will also like discuss the importance of financial literacy and the need for financial education: evidence and implications on a college level. Being a former writer for the University Press, the college newspaper for Lamar University has me feeling excited about publishing yet another article. I understand the basics of print journalism and how to showcase it. I believe the topic I have choose to discuss is authentic and informative but most importantly it serves a purpose, it’s a message that people need and want to hear about. This information will not only make it easier for college students to pay their tuition, but the education will help them become financial literate which will be beneficial to their future.

The publications I am looking to publish is NASFAA – the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administers is the only national, nonprofit association with primary focus on information dissemination, professional development, and legislative regulatory analysis related to federal student aid programs authorized under Title IV Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended. • Articles should be written in an engaging magazine style and tone, based on guidance found in Associated Press Stylebook.
