You can’t talk the talk you must walk the walk

Active learning is a process that has student learning at its Centre. It focuses on how student learn, not just what they learn. Students are encouraged to “think hard”; rather tan passively receive information from the teacher. Research shows us that it is not possible to transmit understanding to students by simply telling them what they need to know. Instead, teachers need to make sure they challenge their students’ thinking. With active learning, student play an important part in their own learning process. They build knowledge and understanding in response to opportunities provided by their teacher.

One of the most common goals I hear from senior leaders is for their managers to collaborate more. There is a strong belief that collaboration, a willingness, and ability to help others achieve a common goal, will produce significantly better results. Like the roots of the giant sequoias, the more leaders support, align and weave together, the stronger and more growth-ready the organization can become.
